IN BORGVIK

A cycling package over two nights for those interested in culture and nature with the possibility of SPA and extra nights. Take the chance to experience, among other things, Sliperiet in Borgvik and Lerinmuseet in Karlstad and transport yourself in between in peace and quiet by bike. The last part of the Union Trail is 49.6 km and cuts through the Värmland countryside to end in our own small "big city" Karlstad. This is a bicycle package that suits most people who want to discover and experience, but without behaving on the bicycle saddle. The Union Trail is an approved national cycle path that is drawn on low-traffic roads and offers accommodation with bicycle-friendly hosts.

DAY 1
Arrival at Kungskvarnen (The Kings Mill) in Borgvik. Here between Lake Värmeln and Lake Vänern, people have lived since the Bronze Age. Check in to your cozy room in "Futten" - the old inn. We recommend a walk through the village and maybe a visit to the art gallery Sliperiet before it's time for your three-course dinner in the old mill.

DAY 2
After a good night's sleep, you can enjoy a delicious breakfast in Kungskvarnen's restaurant. Pack your  lunches and hop on the bike saddle. You leave Borgvik on the Union Trail and cycle east. The surroundings are varied and there are plenty of nice places to rest and have lunch. Why not cycle down to Skutberget or Bomstadbaden for a cooling dip and a coffee - rocks or sandy beach - you choose. Once in Karlstad and Elite Stadshotellet, you check in and lock your bikes. How you choose to use the stay in Karlstad is up to you, but a recommendation is to let your body recover at Vana Spa at the hotel.

DAY 3
Start the day with a rich breakfast buffet and enjoy Karlstad's wonderful cultural offerings - both the Lerin Museum and Värmland Museum offer eye-catching exhibitions. If you choose an extra night in Karlstad, there are pleasant day trips for those of you who cycle more, including wonderful traffic-free cycling trails south to Lillängshamnen  or north on the Klarälvsbanan.

Price: 1975 kr / person. Transport and drinks for the dinners will be added.

The transport back to Borgvik and Kungskvarnen can go either by boat bus from Hammarö or by taxi. In that case, book the taxi journey in connection with the booking.

The boat bus leaves Lillängshamnen according to timetable lines 97 and 98 and bikes are welcome.

It is also possible to leave the bicycle at the respective accommodation for later collection by car.
