Take an excursion with the boat bus! .Midsummer weekend and Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays in July and August you can take the boat bus round trip.

The Kungskvarnen Hotel has a gift shop with a variety of souvenirs, from lamb skin to postcards. Local crafts can be found in Boa, the old shop. You can also make exciting finds in the antique store Borgviks Antik & Kuriosa, or buy exclusive art at Sliperiet.

Högsäterleden is Värmland's last remaining public ferry route and Sweden's shortest ferry route for car traffic. It crosses the 75 meter wide Byälven between Fyksnäs and Högsäter, in southern Värmland.

Do not miss "Antikrundan" from Borgvik on TV. It will  be two hours on prime time (and  svtplay.se). The show was filmed in the summer of 2021, will be available online from  January/February 2022.

If you have plenty of time, you can bake bread in Borgvik's bakery! The dough should be set the day before and on the morning of the baking day, you can start by making a fire in the wood-fired oven. You can also choose to have dough and oven prepared. Book through the folklore society and watch their instructional video.

For ten evenings the autumn time, a fantastic light walk is installed by the marina with magical lighting, projections and art exhibitions. For the children there is an appreciated ghost hike, a shadow wall, LED-kites and pumpkins. It is also possible to book dramatized guided tours and live music performances. The beech forest just south of the village is a nice round. North of Hotell Kungskvarnen's car park there is also a trail of 2.5 km. For longer walks we recommend Sävsjöleden and Kycklingleden. It is possible to get there by car, but it is also great to cycle!

Here in Borgvik, there has been a mill, ironworks, wood grinding mill, carpentry factory, sawmill and freight port. The King's Mill lives on as a hotel and a restaurant by the name Kungskvarnen. The grain magazine is now a museum, the grinding mill has become an art gallery and local handicrafts are now sold in the old shop.

Lake Vänern Grand Tour is a currently ongoing and developing concept that will help to make Lake Vänern a destination, with activities around the lake. The bicycle path that is being build around the lake will be the backbone of this concept. Try it out!

In Lake Vänern, you can fish walleye, pike and perch. No fishing license is required, but you must follow the rules that apply. If you want to fish upstream the Borgvik River and Lake Värmeln, redeem your fishing license via iFiske.

In the southern end of Verkstan, you'll find Vänerkajak. They offer paddle courses and kayaks for sale and to rent. You can also paddle on Lake Värmeln from the pond above The Kungskvarnen Hotel, where canoes and kayaks also can be rented!
